Kids 'N Film sessions are designed to spark imagination, enhance self-esteem and confidence on camera, learn storytelling and behind the scene camera techniques. While we encourage youth creativity, projects will not include foul language or cursing, inappropriate content or mindless violence.
Film Sessions are lead by a seasoned professional(s).
Every child will have an opportunity to appear on camera and have some behind the scene camera experience if they so desire.
ADVANCED REGISTRATION TO ALL WORKSHOPS IS ENCOURAGED. IT MAKES LIFE SO MUCH EASIER, HOWEVER ON-SITE REGISTRATION IS SUBJECT TO SPACE AVAILABILITY!!! ON-SITE REGISTRATION IS CASH ONLY! AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
YOUTH PARTICIPATING IN THE GVRD WORKSHOPS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING A LIGHT LUNCH.
PARENTS MUST CHECK-IN THE FIRST TIME TO SIGN AN IMAGE RELEASE FORM FOR EACH CHILD PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM. RELEASES MUST BE SIGNED BY PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN IN ORDER FOR CHILD TO PARTICIPATE.
Lights, Camera, Action
Cameras roll during each session, which will be edited for local access viewing.
All Parents are encouraged to participate. We encourage Parent participation.
Additional Workshops May Be Arranged Outside of the GVRD Program.
Those dates and locations will be determined and will be posted below.
Children participating in the workshops may be offered opportunities to audition for actual film productions. In this case, Kids N Film can provide details on the Entertainment Permit Process and other regulations that may affect underage talents and actors.
On-Location 1-2 Day Workshop Training & Production:

Daylong on Location workshops will be designed for narrative-based workshop film projects or documentary project. Students will participate both behind the scene and in front of the camera. Every participant will have a chance to rotate both in front of and behind the camera. Daylong workshops require parent participation and attendance. Day workshop schedules from 10:00 - 5:00 pm. Includes lunch (1-hour lunch break, snacks, & regular breaks).
